We pulled into Costa Maya just before noon. We were in port with Ruby Princess and Norwegian Joy. Little man and hubby laid down for nap time after his morning playing at Camp at Sea and lunch. Kimmie and I went into port in search of Dr. pepper for her. As we walked into the duty free shop that is the entrance to the port, we noticed I was very dark. It seemed odd but we continued on. When we got into the port shopping area we noticed that all the shops were dark but still open and mostly taking cash. It seems that a storm came through and took out the electricity and cell tower. Our search (with a flashlight lol) for Dr. Pepper was unsuccessful so we returned to the ship.
Overall a pretty uneventful day. Little man did get to go back to Camp at Sea after dinner for their camp out. They took the kids down to Destination Gateway which is a large area used for destination seminars. They had a movie, tents, a “campfire” and made s’mores. He had a blast and cried when he had to leave. I LOVE this kids program!
