Day 6- Grand Cayman

We pulled into Grand Cayman later in the morning. This is a tender port which means you have to board a boat from the ship to go ashore. After breakfast with little man and Kimmie, I took him to Camp but we got there before they opened so I ran up for a latte. We went back to Camp and dropped him off, then hubby and I met up with the Captains Club members for priority tender service. Those who have the status are able to skip the wait and be taken directly to the tender.

Onshore, we started walking around. Hubby was on the hunt for a Cayman link necklace. Sixteen years ago, I bought a Cayman link bracelet and he’s wanted one ever since. as luck would have it, the very first shop we walked into, was the only shop that sells the Cayman link because they have the patent. After some wheeling and dealing and them bringing the one he wanted from their shop at The Ritz Carlton, he now has a new necklace and I got a beautiful compass charm to represent my travel business.

We did a little more wandering and shopping before heading back to the ship on the tender. We got back in time to meet Kimmie and little man for lunch in the Oceanview Cafe. Hubby took him for a nap after lunch. I decided to go read by the pool on the big round sofa however didn’t get much reading done with all the things going on around the pool. Since it was a formal night, I decided to go back to the cabin and start getting ready.

Prior to dinner we met my sister and brother in law in their suite for drinks and charcuterie. Then we headed to music and mixology to watch the bartender show off his best mixology skills and sample the drinks he made. After dinner, hubby took little man to the Camp and Kimmie and I ran to get seats to see Arte in the theatre. Hubby joined us for the show which was phenomenal. Art comes to life through song, dance and aerialists. Then off to the Yes and No game where contestants have to answer questions without saying yes or no, followed by the pub quiz. Final stop for the night was the casino to feed the slot machines. Side note, I don’t go into this expecting to win, just to donate my money while spending time chatting with my sister. When the money was gone, it was time for bed.
